Irrational blame to one anotherWe irrationally blame one another and don't intend to leave genuine legacy.Ethiopians blame governments consider them the sole responsible for the famine. But that is too simply said. It is true, they have contributed a great deal to the problem. The never told as the truth about our country in comparison to other countries, never archive facts properly. If any, they are originally distorted or later destroyed by the replacing government. Further more, our governments have the habit of saying empty words. They never aimed to develop true culture of leaving legacy to the one that would replace them. Nor does the later try to learn from its predecessor. It prefers to start from zero do everything allover again. This attitude is still there. I am afraid, future governments will not be any different either. Such attitudes of governments are not unique to Ethiopia. There are other countries with worst situations but have not experienced such a devastating and humiliating famine and draught we are confronted with. Thus, our governments are not the only to be blamed for this matter. But we cannot consider them as the only ones to blame. The fact that we can't learn and find solution from their mistakes or good experiences is the worst thing. |
